Paw Patrol Afternoon Tea at Family-Friendly Park Plaza Westminster Bridge

How do you make afternoon tea - officially the best meal of the day, given it covers cakes, biscuits, scones, more cakes, more biscuits - even better for kids? Sprinkle a bit of Paw Patrol on top of the biscuits and cakes, stir in a massive playroom packed with every Paw Patrol toy you can imagine and the Ryder-starring programme itself on a loop on a projector... And sit back and watch your tots have the time of their life!

We took the Tube to Park Plaza Westminster Bridge last week and immediately realised how family-friendly the hotel is, with posters about the kids disco that evening, the (supervised) Paw Patrol playroom available to all guests as well as afternoon tea-gobblers, amazing art installations that double up as play places for kids (like these amazing swinging face chairs) and views of Big Ben, the Thames and the Houses of Parliament.

As for the Paw Patrol afternoon tea food... these pictures show just how much we had fun gobbling jellies, cupcakes, shortbread biscuits, chocolate chip cookies, 'bone' biscuits and lots more... There were also sandwiches (ham, chicken, cheese, egg) to start - although they were quickly woolfed down as we moved onto the tiered platter of cakes!

The Paw Patrol afternoon tea cost £25 per kid, (although there was so many cakes that we had enough to share with us adults too) and we were even given a cuddly Rubble, Marshall and Zuma to take home!

As for the play room - we went before and after the tea and the kids still wanted to stay longer!

The sad news is that the Paw Patrol tea was just running for August, so the toys have been packed away for now (although the play room leader promised they might run it again soon - keep an eye out!) - but I wanted to write to flag how great this hotel is for kids (it even has a family getaway package where kids eat free, get goodie bags and more)- and it's so centrally located that their legs won't tire out sightseeing, and so much to do inside that it's a really good family-friendly option for a central London stay.

Thanks to Park Plaza for inviting us for afternoon tea - rest assured we're seriously gobby and only rave about stuff we really love!
