Amazing Autumn family photoshoot in London

Giving birth to my third babe two days before the first lockdown, we didn't have a whole lot of family snaps! There was the iPhone one a kind neighbour took from the end of our driveway, a whole bunch of awful phone/timer attempts and some blurry selfie jobs, but..that was it.

Now, I love summer's rays whilst playing in them, but photo-wise, reckon its Autumn's crunchy hues that give the best backdrops. So when I saw Photos By Ruby's amazing leaf-speckled family photoshoots on her Instagram feed, I knew I wanted to book in for our own session.

We met Ruby in Kenwood, (given it's had a cameo in most of the London-set movies I've ever seen, its photographic status was assured). The kids were immediately relaxed, happy to show her 'how far we can run!' and 'how tight we can cuddle!' and any other ideas she suggested - it was far more fun than other photo sessions we've tried. They just raced around and had naturally big smiles, so I didn't even have to get out my emergency bribe-jar of chocolate coins!

Only two days after the shoot, Ruby had already emailed over almost 100 beautiful, edited photos.. and I'm finding it hard to narrow down to just a few to print because they so brilliantly strike the balance between natural, and wall-worthy! (I mean, I'm all for the natural look but not so natural that I'm gurning and the baby is mid-dribble..)

If you're looking for a family photographer, I really recommend you take a look at Ruby! And there's 10% off if you use code Lucy10! Get in touch if you've any questions..
